The Mayor and Town Council of the Village of Harrisonburg met in Regular Session on Tuesday June 08, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall.

Council Members Present:  Aldermen:  Richard Hatten, Charles Watson, Also Present: Town Clerk: Felicity Crum, Maintenance Supervisor Willie Fair, Officer Lyndell Atkins, Town Attorney John Reeves, Guests: Bill Mulkey.

There being a quorum present, the Mayor called the meeting to order.

On a motion by Council Member Hatten, seconded by Council Member Watson, with all in favor, the Council approved the May minutes as published.

On a motion by Council Member Watson, seconded by Council Member Hatten, with all in favor, the Council approved the May account transfers.

On a motion by Council Member Hatten, seconded by Council Member Watson, with all in favor, the Council approved and adopted RESOLUTION 20100608 ANNEXING LAND FOR FARMERS MARKET.

On a motion by Council Member Watson, seconded by Council Member Hatten, with all in favor, the Council approved and adopted the Catahoula News Booster as the official journal for the Village of Harrisonburg.

On a motion by Council Member Watson, seconded by Council Member Hatten, with all in favor, the council agreed to Adjourn.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

The Mayor and Town Council of the Village of Harrisonburg met in Special Session on Wednesday June 30, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall.

Council Members Present:  Aldermen: Greg Terry, Richard Hatten, Charles Watson, Also Present: Town Clerk: Felicity Crum, Maintenance Supervisor: Willie Fair.

There being a quorum present, the Mayor called the meeting to order.

On a motion by Council Member Hatten, seconded by Council Member Watson, with all in favor, the Council approved the July 01, 2009 to June 30, 2010 Amended Budget:

GENERAL FUND:     Revenues and Transfers:  205,663.05
Expenditures:                       196,762.08

On a motion by Council Member Hatten, seconded by Council Member Watson, with all in favor, the Council approved the July 01, 2010 to June 30, 2011 Budget.

GENERAL FUND:     Revenues and Transfers:  205,663.05
Expenditures:                       196,762.08

On a motion by Council Member Terry, and seconded by Council Member Watson, with all in favor, the Council approved and adopted ORDINANCE # 20100630, an Ordinance adopting an Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the year beginning July 1, 2010 and ending June 30, 2011 and amending the Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the year beginning July 1, 2009 and ending June 30, 2010.

On a motion by Council Member Hatten, seconded by Council Member Watson, with all in favor, the council agreed to Adjourn.
